Praxis committee member Malcolm Skingle has been awarded a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours this weekend. Malcolm's award acknowledges his services to the pharmaceutical industry.
Malcolm's contribution to the UK is extensive. He has been involved with Praxis since its inception and, as a member of the core committee and course director, has helped shape the training delivery to be rolled out to nearly 1800 TT and KT professionals in the UK and overseas. As Director of Academic Liaison, Worldwide Business Development, at GSK, Malcolm has played a pivotal role in stimulating innovation between industry and academic research, not only within GSK, but more broadly within the UK. He is a respected advisor to government and a champion within the research councils, currently chairing the BBSRC Biosciences for Industry Panel amongst other things.
