Teresa Cooper
Teresa Cooper is Senior Economic Development Manager at the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW), based in Cardiff. She is responsible for the management of HEFCW's Third Mission Fund, which helps support activities in Welsh universities that contribute to both economic and social well-being. She is also engaged in a range of joint working activities with the Welsh Assembly Government to ensure that the contribution of the higher education sector is properly reflected in key Assembly Government policies and strategies. She also represents Welsh interests on a number of UK-wide groups looking at HE-business interactions and the wider impact of HEIs on economy and society.
Prior to joining HEFCW, Teresa spent three years with the Further Education Funding Council for Wales, but the bulk of her career has been in industry where she spent eighteen years with British Gas. She is a graduate of the University of Wales Swansea.
