In November 2007, Stephen joined Henmans LLP in Oxford after spending five years working for the University of Oxford where he acted as Counsel to the University’s technology transfer company, Isis Innovation Limited.
While at Isis, Stephen advised on all aspects of the licensing process from strategic planning to negotiation and drafting. He handled numerous different types of licensing structure dealing with a wide variety of technologies and advised on negotiations with research institutions, charities and commercial concerns ranging from multinationals to start ups.
Stephen is now part of the Corporate Team at Henmans LLP where he specialises in commercial and intellectual property matters. He advises a growing number of academic and research institutions in the field of technology transfer but also acts for a wide range of technology clients in sectors ranging from IT to medical device manufacture.
