Susan Bright
Susan Bright has a BA in Natural Science from the University of Cambridge, where she also carried out her Ph.D in Immunology. She spent many years working in industry on the commercial side and before her current post was Head of Contract Management at Lonza Biologics UK. Susan Bright is the Director of Enterprise at The Institute of Cancer Research which is a part of the University of London. The Enterprise Unit manages all intellectual property and commercial issues at The Institute including arranging collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Since taking up her post at The Institute in November 2000 Susan has been responsible for initiating a number of drug discovery collaborations with industry and for securing many licensing deals. Susan has also been a board member for a number of The Institute Of Cancer Research spin out companies such as Domainex and PETRRA Ltd. .
