Rob Moffat

Rob Moffat is an Associate in Scottish Equity Partners' (SEP) Healthcare and Biotechnology Group. SEP is one of the UK's largest and most established privately owned venture capital firms with a long and successful track record. SEP's principal focus is on high growth potential technology businesses, typically investing between £500,000 and £5 million in equity financings of up to £20 million. SEP also manages two University Challenge Funds, the Synergy Fund (Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities) and the Nestech Fund (Dundee, St Andrews and Aberdeen Universities). Prior to joining SEP in 2001, Rob, a graduate of Edinburgh University, was a manager with KPMG Corporate Finance working with a wide variety of companies in fundraising and M&A. He trained as an accountant with KPMG in the early nineties and then worked for Thomson Travel Group and British Airways in marketing roles before returning to KPMG Corporate Finance. At Scottish Equity Partners, Rob is responsible for reviewing investments proposals, structuring and completing investments, monitoring investee companies and preparing companies for exit.
