Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson is a partner of Mewburn Ellis LLP, a firm of patent and trade mark attorneys. He is a European and Chartered patent attorney and has a degree (MPhys) in physics from the University of Oxford.
Richard’s practice involves patent work in mechanical, electrical and computer-related technology/software fields, with particular emphasis on electronic engineering, medical devices, semiconductors, mechanical engineering, telecommunications, gaming technology, and optical sensors. Richard deals mainly with drafting and prosecuting patent applications and managing patent portfolios for local clients. He is particularly knowledgeable about the patentability of software- and business-related inventions at the European Patent Office and UK Intellectual Property Office.
