Paul Seabright

Paul joined Health Enterprise East from Cambridge Enterprise, formerly the Cambridge University's technology transfer office where he was a project manager for more than 3 years and led its life science team. While at Cambridge, he was involved in the formation of several biotech start-ups and licensed tens of new University inventions to many companies including big pharma and some US biotech's. Prior to Cambridge Enterprise, he spent 5 years as a senior scientist with a Cambridge biotech company where he was responsible for developing the company's medical devices business. From 1991-1996, he held postdoctoral research positions with the MRC and the University of Cambridge. Paul has a first degree in clinical biochemistry and a PhD in chemistry from the University of Manchester. At Health Enterprise East, Paul leads the development and management of operations providing IP management and technology transfer services to the NHS trusts in the East of England.
