Paul Labbett
Paul Labbett is the Director of Research Grants and Contracts at King’s College London, heading the office responsible for all aspects of administering the College’s portfolio of research projects (including MTAs and CDAs), and protecting its intellectual assets when engaging in externally-supported research. Paul has held this post since 2001. Previously, he was head of Research Contracts at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine for 10 years, and has worked in the field of research and IP for over 20 years. He has considerable experience, especially in the legal, intellectual property and commercial aspects of sponsored research, and has consulted for various organisations in the research and IP area. He has also worked on EU-funded projects to help develop commercial and IP awareness in Eastern Europe.
