Karin Rivard
Karin Rivard is a graduate of the University of Southern California Law School and a member of the Massahcusetts Bar Association. She has been the attorney for the M.I.T. Technology Licensing Office for more than six years. Karin also manages the trademark practice and trademark licensing activity for all of M.I.T.
In addition to her knowledge of intellectual property law, Karin brought to the Technology Licensing Office her experience as a general business and corporate attorney. She began her career in 1992 at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault in Boston, MA, later moving to a boutique corporate firm where she could more actively participate in advising clients. Karin advises members of the M.I.T. community on negotiating strategy, licensing structures, equity ownership, and intellectual property law and is a member of M.I.T.’s Committee on Intellectual Property."
