Since November 2004, Katharine Rabson has been Director of Business Development at KCL Enterprises, the wholly owned enterprise and innovation company of King's College London. Katharine is responsible for a team of nine business development experts covering the whole spectrum of subjects on offer at King's, as well as managing a Directorate running a cross-HEI HEIF 2 funded collaboration, LCACE (London Centre for Arts and Cultural Enterprise) for which King's is the lead Partner and Katharine the successful bid author. Prior to this position she was a Business Development Manager within KCL Enterprises, specialising in the Cultural and Creative Industries and also the Social Sciences, and was originally hired shortly after the first tranche of third stream funding (HEROBC) came into place in 2000 with responsibilities from then for King's strategy concerning third stream activities in the non-sciences. Katharine's particular interests now lie in cross-disciplinary business development, leading on projects that link the arts and social sciences with the sciences, particularly medicine and engineering.
