John McCormack
John has had various technical, marketing and management roles in the Electrical and Optoelectronics Industries. He has managed research laboratories and technology centres for GEC/Marconi and BICC/Corning Cable Systems and undertaken project management, technology strategy, exploitation and business development roles for European businesses.
As a technology consultant John has had recent roles as Marketing Manager with Bangor University and Interim Technical Director of the OpTIC Technium. He is founder and director of two start-up companies: Optical Integration Ltd and Solus Sensors Ltd.
John has a DPhil in Laser Spectroscopy with Science Policy from Sussex University and an MS in the Management of Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In his spare time he enjoys rebuilding domestic plumbing systems, walking and cycling.
