Dean is a solicitor within the Competition Law team at Dickinson Dees. Dean qualified in 2001 and has specialised in competition lawsince that time. During his time at Dickinson Dees, Dean has gained experience in all aspects of competition law. Dean has acted for clients in a number of investigations, helping to achieve satisfactory outcomes for clients in high profile cases. He has undertaken compliance work across a number of industry sectors including branded goods, manufacturing, transport, energy utilities and chemicals. Dean provides competition law support to Dickinson Dees' Corporate, Commercial and Litigation Teams.
Through this work Dean frequently deals with issues involving Technology Transfer and Research and Development. This has involved organising and speaking at a seminar on the recently introduced Technology Transfer Block Exemption, as well as monitoring the progress of the Biocidal Products Directive and the REACH initiative in the chemicals sector.
