David Churchman
David Churchman is a Project Manager within the Physical Sciences group at Isis Innovation, the Technology Transfer Company for the University of Oxford. During his 3 years at Isis David has managed the commercialisation activity of a diverse portfolio of some 50 projects within Chemistry, Engineering and Physics. He successfully completed his first spinout company earlier this year and is currently working on a further 3 companies employing medical imaging and sustainable development technologies. Previously, David has occupied senior sales and marketing roles within technology leading companies including, Granta Design (a Cambridge University spinout company) and Micromass UK. During his time at Micromass the company won a prestigious double Queen's Award for export and innovation and was acquired by the Waters Corporation. David has been actively involved with design input into technology transfer activities since he joined Isis and has spent the last year working closely with the Design Council on a Design Mentoring program covering three of his projects.
