Dr Colin Wyatt
Colin is Director of Business Development for Imperial College London where he is responsible for Imperial's research collaborations with industry. He and his team are Imperial's interface to business and identify, create and manage strategic research relationships with global industry partners across Imperial's medical, scientific and technological areas of expertise. Colin has been at Imperial since 2004 and he and his team help to generate over £35m per annum of industry funded research.
Prior to Imperial, Colin worked in the commercial Life Sciences sector for over twenty five years, both for pharmaceutical companies and as a management consultant to most of the major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Before joining Imperial, Colin was Vice President of Cambridge Pharma Consultancy, where he was Consulting Leader of the Commercial and R&D Strategy Practice and Executive Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, where he was Head of the European R&D Practice. He has also had senior roles at IBM, PA Consulting, ICL and Eli Lilly.
Colin has a 2nd MB, BA and MA from Cambridge University and a PhD in medical physiology from the Royal Free Medical School (London University). He is a Fellow of Institute of Business Consulting and a Chartered Management Consultant. Colin is a member of the InnovationRCA Management Board and of the London Science and Industry Council (Catalyst) secretariat and a Non Executive Director of Ixico, a medical image analysis company.
