Andrew Silverthorne
Andrew is an independent business development consultant with experience of: M&A, in- & out-licensing, management buy-out, venture capital financing, technology assessment, change management and the growth of businesses through private to public company status. He is a biology graduate with 5 years experience of R&D in basic research, drug discovery and preclinical development.
Until recently he worked at Cytomyx Ltd., a company developing and marketing tools for drug discovery research. Prior to joining Cytomyx Andrew worked at Ithaka Life Sciences providing business support services to emerging life science companies and their founders. He was a founder of Xention Discovery Ltd., a specialist ion channel technology and drug discovery company that was spun-out of CeNeS Ltd. raising £4m in August 2002. Andrew has 10 years business development experience working with major pharmaceutical companies biotechnology companies and universities around the world.
In addition, Andrew is a qualified electrician and runs a domestic electricians business.
