Alison Campbell is Managing Director of King’s College London Business Ltd and leads on innovations for King’s College London. The company’s activities include business development, IP management, consultancy, out-licensing and start-up companies. King’s Business also supports training in enterprise within the College. Alison has worked in technology transfer and business development for more years than a lady should admit to and before joining King’s she headed up MRC Technology. A biochemist, Alison is a graduate of University College London and gained a PhD in chemical biology from Imperial College. She spent the early part of her career as a research scientist within the biotechnology industry, working at Celltech Ltd.
Alison is Chair of Praxis, the not for profit technology transfer training organisation. She also holds a number of non-exec director positions including with; King’s spin-out companies, the London Technology Network, the university seed investment fund, Kinetique. She is a member of the CBI London Council, the BBSRC Sciences for Industry advisory group and the JISC BCE Advisory Group.
