Tom Yardley
Tom has been MD of East Midlands Business Angels Ltd (EMBA) a private investor club, since 1997 and has been involved in small ticket venture capital investment since 1989.
In his early career he worked for and managed businesses for Lex plc after graduating from Manchester University. He started and sold his own business before doing his MBA at Warwick University.
As an investor and director of a number of investee companies, he has provided strategic support and encouragement as well as hard-earned cash and has experienced many of the highs, lows and problems faced by growing businesses.
EMBA runs an investors’ club enabling investor members to invest in syndicates in a number of carefully selected businesses each year throughout the UK, building a portfolio to spread risk and taking advantage of EIS tax breaks.
