Russell is one of two Partners at Withers & Rogers in charge of relationships with the university sector. Withers & Rogers acts for over 20 UK universities and many more HEIs and public research organisations, including the NHS and WHO. Russell has been a regular attendee at the UNICO conference in recent years.
Russell is a patent attorney who mainly specialises in patent prosecution for computer implemented and physics related technologies. Russell’s work in these areas includes work for Aston, Oxford Brookes, Warwick, Nottingham Trent, and Staffordshire Universities and Isis as well as large corporate bodies such as Apple.
Russell has considerable experience in the registration of designs, the enforcement of design rights, and occasionally deals with copyright and passing off issues. He works closely with Withers & Rogers’ specialist Trade Mark Attorneys who have ensured that the firm has consistently been placed in the top 10 Trade Mark filers in the UK.
