Raymond Wolfson
Raymond is Director of the Intellectual Property Management Unit (IPMU) at the University of Leeds, as well as a non-executive director of a number of spin-out companies. The IPMU is responsible for management of the University's commercialisation processes, patent portfolio and licence portfolio. It provides IP related advice, and is responsible for the negotiation of all legal documentation for licences and spin-outs. Raymond manages the proof of concept fund and the University's patent fund, and is the main interface with Techtran (the external commercialisation partner to University of Leeds). He was previously Finance Director and then Investment Director of University of Leeds Innovations Limited (ULIS) and has been working in university technology transfer since 1991. Prior to that he worked in British Nuclear Fuels in a variety of roles including internal management consultancy and various business functions.
