John Cahir
John is a senior lawyer in the intellectual property group at Matheson Ormsby Prentice. He advises on both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property rights. In addition, he advises on computer gaming and gambling related matters. He acts for clients in a range of sectors including the technology, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, consumer goods and financial services fields. John holds a PhD from the Queen Mary Intellectual Property Institute, University of London where he previously worked as a Herschel Smith research fellow. John currently lectures intellectual property law on University College Dublin’s LLM (Commercial Law) programme.
