Jane Lewis has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years and has gained a wide range of experience in the operation and management of drug discovery research activities.
Her earlier roles in GSK included management of the company's natural product collections. She also has extensive experience in various aspects of high throughput screening and determination of screening performance metrics, and is an author of more than 30 scientific publications. Subsequently she joined the Academic Liaison team in Worldwide Business Development. The team is responsible for implementing, negotiating and managing research agreements on behalf of GSK with a diverse network of academic groups. Her current responsibilities include establishing collaborations, licences and material transfer agreements for GSK business partners worldwide, with particular focus on the Respiratory and Genetics divisions. Her role also involves close interaction with external funding bodies and other science driven organisations.
